94 /100 | VIGNA RACHTL Sauvignon Blanc Riserva 2019
“Packaged in a medium-heavy bottle, the Tiefenbrunner 2019 Alto Adige Sauvignon Blanc Riserva Rachtl reveals mid-weight intensity with orange zest, almond paste, honey and hints of spicy saffron. The wine glides smoothly over the palate with plush richness that is capped off by fresh acidity. This is a bigger style of Sauvignon Blanc, with some modest age on it, that opens the door to a wide range of pairing, such as scallops in butter sauce or stuffed clams.” - Monica Larner

94 /100 | VIGNA AU Chardonnay Riserva 2018
Packaged in a thick glass bottle (with only 1,950 made), the 2018 Alto Adige Chardonnay Riserva Vigna Au reveals a luminous golden color with high-toned aromas of lemon zest, summer fresh apricot, Golden Delicious apple and background tones of almond or vanilla essence. The aromas are well balanced, and the oak is invisibly folded into the wine's medium-rich texture. This wine makes good on its Riserva status.

94 /100 | VIGNA TOREN Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva 2018
The Tiefenbrunner 2018 Alto Adige Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva Vigna Toren shows dark concentration with saturated hues of blackish blue and purple. This wine is juicy and thick, offering big intensity, with blackberry, dried plum and sweet earth. This soft and richly layered Cabernet Sauvignon (with a mere 1,610 bottles produced) is born in a 0.6-hectare vineyard site that is intersected by the warmer bands of mountain air at a moderate 270 to 320 meters in elevation. Tobacco and cured leather add complexity.

93 /100 | VIGNA FELDMARSCHALL VON FENNER Müller-Thurgau Vendemmia Tardiva 2016
“I'm not sure how long this late-harvest dessert wine has been produced by Tiefenbrunner, but this appears to be a new submission. Packaged in a 375-milliliter bottle, the 2016 Alto Adige Müller Thurgau Feldmarschall Von Fenner Vendemmia Tardiva shows dried flower, daisy and wild grass on the bouquet. Fruit is harvested from an outstanding 1,000 meters above sea level, and the alcohol content is contained at 9.5%. With time, the aromas revert to honey, spicy saffron, crushed stone, dry tea leaf and a dusting of cinnamon. In fact, this unusual wine finishes on an almost dry note.” - Monica Larner

93 /100 | ANNA Pinot Blanc 2020
Closed in an elegant screw-cap bottle, the Tiefenbrunner 2020 Alto Adige Weissburgunder Pinot Blanc Anna puts on a very classic performance for a grape that tends to be neutral on the nose but full of dimension and beautiful definition on the palate. Crispy pear, quince and gorgeous salinity flip over to a very firm and compact mouthfeel. I give this accessible and well-priced 17,000-bottle release a heartfelt recommendation. Aged in both cement and botte, fruit comes from a 2.3-hectare vineyard south of Magrè and a hillside vineyard in Cortaccia with a huge range of elevation, going from 210 to 600 meters above sea level.

90 /100 | VIGNA FELDMARSCHALL VON FENNER Müller-Thurgau 2020
Closed in a screw-cap bottle, the 2020 Alto Adige Müller Thurgau Feldmarschall Von Fenner starts off with some reduction that is quite apparent at this young age, but it should nonetheless carry the wine forward to evolve slowly and with care. These are characteristics I notice each year that I taste new vintages of this wine. Buried below are floral notes, yellow rose, mature peach and honeydew melon. This wine finishes with citrusy crispness.
