Wine description:
A light-red wine with brilliant reflections. It is fresh and fruity and reminiscent of cherries, violets and bitter almonds. Harmonious in flavour with light tannin in the finish. An uncomplicated, eminently drinkable, wine.
Serving suggestion:
Suitable to accompany almost all fish and meat dishes, especially salamis and sausages, and boiled and white meat.
Grape variety: 100% Vernatsch/Schiava
Vineyard location: South-southeast facing slopes in Entiklar (270-360m. above sea level).
Soil compo: Chalk gravel from moraine deposits
Growing system: Pergola; 3,500 vines/hectare
Yield: 70 - 75 hl/hectare
Age of vines: Up to 40 years
Vinification: Maceration on skins and malolactic fermentation in concrete vats; storage of the young wine in large oak barrels until bottling.
Vasseles: Concrete vats and wooden barrels (oak); 2,000-4,000 litres
Alcohol content: 12,5% by vol.
Total Acidity: 4,4 g / litre
Residual sugars: 2,5 g / litre
