Wine description:

You will enjoy this uncomplicated, fruity, red wine from Lagrein, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Merlot grapes with its garnet red colour and bouquet of cherries, violets and berries. It has an attractive softness and juiciness, without excessive toasted aromas or hard tannins to weigh it down. A wine that pleases – whether served slightly chilled, or at room temperature.

 

Serving suggestion:

An outstanding wine to accompany pork, veal, beef, lamb, poultry, including duck, game and cheese.

 

 

 Grape variety:

¼ Pinot Noir, ¼ Lagrein, ¼ Merlot and ¼ Cabernet

 Vineyard location:

Kurtatsch, Margreid and Montan

 Soil composition:

Loamy gravel from moraine deposits

 Growing system:

Guyot trellis and pergola – from 3,500 to 7,000 vines / hectare

 Yield:

70 - 75 hl / hectare

 Ages of wines:

bis 40 Jahre

 Vinification:

Primary fermentation in special tanks; malolactic fermentation in large wooden barrels, and maturing of the young wine in the proportions ¼ in small oak casks (barriques), and ¾ in large wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks

 Vesseles:

Stainless steel, wooden barrels (oak) and barrique (French oak)

 Alcohol content:

13% by vol.

 Total acidity:

4.5 g / litre

 Residual sugars:

3.8 g / litre
