Description:
Light yellow to sandy-coloured in appearance, with an unobtrusive bouquet, and hints of pear and candied fruit. The strong harmonious structure emphasizes its dry full bodied taste and round finish.
Serving suggestion:
This white wine makes a good companion to all sorts of appetizers, as well as asparagus dishes, seafood, poultry, pork or veal.
Varieties: 100% Pinot Grigio
Vineyard location: Kurtatsch/Cortaccia, Margreid/Magrè and Kurtinig/Cortina all'Adige.
Soil: Chalk gravel moraine soil in the hills in Kurtatsch, sandy alluvial soil in the area of Margreid and Kurtinig.
Growing system: Pergola and guyot; 3,500 - 7,000 vines / hectare.
Yield: 70 - 80 hl / hectare.
Age of vines: Till 35 years.
Vinification: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks between 20 - 21°C; till the bottling 4 months on the fine lees in the tank aged.
Receptacles: Stainless steel and concrete tanks.
Alcohol content: 13% alc. by vol.
Total acidity: 5.7 g / litre
Residual sugars: 2.8 g / litre
