Wine description:
Deep garnet red in color, this cuvee exhibits discreet aromas of cherry and cassis. In flavor, it is silky-smooth with well-integrated tannins. This is a very complex wine, persistent in the throat with a juicy and salty finish.
Serving suggestion:
Excellent with braised or grilled beef, lamb or game, as well as cheeses.
Grape varieties:55% Cabernet Sauv., 45% Merlot Vineyard lacation: south-southeast facing hillside vineyards in Entiklar (280 – 310 meters above sea) Soil composition: chalk gravel moraine soil Growing system: guyot – 7,500 vines / hectare Yield: 45 - 50 hl / hectare Age of wines: till 16 years Vinification: Primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks; 18 months aged in barriques. Receptacles: stainless steel and barriques (french), 50% new Alcohol content: 13.5% by vol. Total acidity: 5.1 g / litre Residual sugars: 2.3 g / litre
