Wine description:

A deep garnet-red color, this typical South Tyrolean wine exhibits gentle aromas of wild berries. Fine grained, ripe tannins accompany its good acidity level, and give the wine elegance and persistence. A fine round finish.

Serving suggestion:

Excellent with braised or grilled beef, lamb or game, as well as cheeses.

Grape varieties: 100% Lagrein (short- and long-stemmed varieties)

Vineyard lacation: south-southeast facing hillside vineyards in in Entiklar (280 – 310 meters above sea)

Soil composition: chalk gravel moraine soil

Growing system: guyot; - 7,500 vines / hectare

Yield: 45 - 50 hl / hectare

Age of wines: till 9 years

Vinification: Primary fermentation in stainless steel tanks; 18 months aged in barriques.

Receptacles: stainless steel and barriques (french) 40% ne

Alcohol content: 13.0% by vol.

Total acidity: 5.1 g / litre

Residual sugars: 2.5 g / litre

Dry extract: 29.2 g / litre
