Description: Deep garnet red in color, with a delicate bouquet showing the cherry note characteristic of the varietal; subtle wood tones complement its full and round fruit flavors.Compact tannins and an agreeable acidity carry this traditional wine through to its long finish. Serving suggestion: Excellent with braised or grilled beef, lamb, or game, as well as cheeses.
Varieties: 100% Lagrein Vineyard location: South-southeast-facing vineyards in Kurtatsch (260 - 380 meters above sea level) Soil: chalk gravel moraine and loamy alluvial moraine soil Growing system: pergola guyot; 3.500 vines / hectare Yield: 60 - 70 hl / hectare Age of vines: till 50 years Vinification: fermented using a special extraction process, followed by malolactic fermentation in large wooden casks and in small oak barrels 80% Receptacles: stainless steel, large wooden casks and barriques Alcohol content: 13.0% alc. by vol. Total acidity: 5.1 g / litre Residual sugars: 2.6 g / litre
