Description:
Deep garnet red in color, with a delicate bouquet showing the cherry note characteristic of the varietal; subtle wood tones complement its full and round fruit flavors.Compact tannins and an agreeable acidity carry this traditional wine through to its long finish.

Excellent with braised or grilled beef, lamb, or game, as well as cheeses.

Vineyard location: South-southeast-facing vineyards in Kurtatsch (260 - 380 meters above sea level)
Soil: chalk gravel moraine and loamy alluvial moraine soil
Growing system: pergola guyot; 3.500 vines / hectare
Yield: 60 - 70 hl / hectare
Age of vines: till 50 years
Vinification: fermented using a special extraction process, followed by malolactic fermentation in large wooden casks and in small oak barrels 80%
Receptacles: stainless steel, large wooden casks and barriques
Alcohol content: 13.0% alc. by vol.
Total acidity: 5.1 g / litre
Residual sugars: 2.6 g / litre
