TIEFENBRUNNER'S POWER STATION

Hydroelectric power station

The historical electrical plant in Entiklar was first put into operation by Johann Tiefenbrunner in 1910. He constantly maintained it with great care and many hours of work. Until after World War 2, this power station supplied the entire energy for the needs of the neighboring villages of Kurtatsch and Margreid.Since that time, the plant has only supplied the energy for our own needs. A connection to the public power supply system has not yet been necessary. In the fall of 2000 a new power station was built directly next to the existing hydroelectric station. This new power station was put into operation on January 27th, 2001 at 1 p.m. The historical electrical plant in Entiklar was first put into operation by Johann Tiefenbrunner in 1910.
