Dear customers, dear wine enthustiasts,

the 2007 vintage of our Feldmarschall von Fenner wine represented the first time that the TIEFENBRUNNER Castel Turmhof winery had marketed bottles with the new Stelvin screw cap.

This major step was preceded by several years of careful testing and overwhelmingly positive experiences.

The challenge lay on the one hand in discovering an effective way of ensuring the quality of our excellent wines was maintained. It was however just as important to take into account the “cultural” aspect of what is – from a technical standpoint – a perfect solution. 

Both objectives were achieved thanks to exceptional cooperation with customers and wine connoisseurs, whose feedback provided valuable insights. The door was thus opened to the use of this new product with other wines in our range like Sauvignon Kirchleiten, Moscato Giallo Turmhof, Pinot Grigio Classic, Pinot Nero Turmhof and Schiava Grigia Turmhof.

Aesthetically perfect, with its internal thread and capsule cover, the wine is presented with a pleasingly appropriate design.

The bottle is neutral, with a hermetic, sterile seal. The bottled quality, original character and variety in the aroma of the wine can thus be maintained. The storage life of the wine is also significantly improved.

This new cap also avoids well-known problems such as the cork taint caused by traditional natural corks or the oxidation caused by plastic stoppers. 

A further and not insignificant advantage for wine-lovers is that the wine will keep for some days in an opened bottle.  

Given all these advantages, TIEFENBRUNNER decided to use this solution for its wine.

The Castel Turmhof winery is therefore keeping one step ahead, as true tradition also means progress!
