Chardonnay "Classic"

SÜDTIROL / ALTO ADIGE - doc 

Description: this wine is pale yellow in colour with green reflexes. It has a pleasant aroma that characterises the variety, with meadow flower reminiscent of exotic fruits. Slightly spicy, well-structured and full in the mouth, it has a lingering finish on the palate.

Food pairing:  lightly appetizers, fish, white meat, risotto, South Tyrolean cheese dumplings.

Grape varieties: 100% Chardonnay

Vineyard location: hillside vineyards in Kurtatsch (250 – 600 m a.s.l.) sites in the plain of Margreid and Cortina (210 m a.s.l.)

Soil: chalk gravel moraine soil in the hills of Kurtatsch, sandy alluvial soil in Margreid and Cortina

Growing system: pergola and guyot; 3,500 - 7,000 vines / hectare

Yield: 70 - 80 hl / hectare

Age of vines: up to 35 years

Vinification: fermented at a constant temperature of 20 °C in stainless steel tanks; maturation on the fine lees for 4 months; one filtration before bottling

Barrels: stainless steel tank and concrete vat

Serving suggestions: 10 - 12 °C
