Robert Parkers Wine Advocate rating – July 2016:
LINTICLARUS Lagrein riserva 2013 | 92+ points
Christof hits a home run with his 2013 LINTICLARUS Lagrein riserva. This is a fabulous red wine. It is a spectacular expression of this unique grape variety that is absolutely worth your attention. I just loved the softness and seamless nature of the wine as it glides smoothly over the palate. It offers lingering tones of black fruit, tobacco and spice along the way. The results show impressive balance and integrity. I very much enjoyed the wild and untamed nature of the Lagrein grape within the sophistacated context presented here.
ANNA Pinot Bianco 2014 | 89 points
The 2014 ANNA Pinot Bianco delivers a good sense of structure, intensity and overall harmony despite the many shortfalls of the vintage. This is a very complete rendition of this workhorse variety that defies the cool and soggy growing conditions in 2014. Some of its peers taste watery and short in comparison. The wine is redolent of stone fruit, pear and sweet almond paste. In the mouth, the wine provides the palate with a solid grip and medium persistence.
TURMHOF Pinot Grigio 2014| 88 points
The 2014 TURMHOF Pinot Grigio opens to a medium golden appearance and robust aromas of yellow fruit, dried apricot and preserved lemon. The wine is generous and well textured thanks to a seven-month period in which it ages on the lees. This process explains the slightly creamier and more opulent personality you get with this unique Pinot Grigio. It also accounts for the wine’s added complexity despite the difficult vintage.
TURMHOF Sauvignon 2014 | 88+ points
The charming 2014 TURMHOF Sauvignon opens to bright tones of tropical fruit and citrus with lingering notes of wild herb and crushed mineral at the back. You get a larger load of varietal greenness in this cool vintage. In the mouth, the wine delivers zesty freshness and a zippy close.
LINTICLARUS Pinot Noir riserva 2013 | 92 points
The 2013 LINTICLARUS Pinot Noir riserva is a delicious and enticing red wine that shows the best of cool climate winemaking. This is Italian Pinot Noir in all its glory with wild berry, pressed flowers, wet earth, licorice and grilled herb. The mouthfeel is compact and the wine’s texture is subdued and supple. The wine should flesh out further with a few more years of cellar aging.
